If you want to undertake a planting project, you will ask yourself what are the first steps to follow to start it. Water is a determining factor for good plant development. It is true that depending on the type of plant one quantity of water or another is needed, but in any case it is very important to consider an irrigation plan.
Today agriculture is one of the sectors that is making the most progress in the efficiency of the use of natural resources. Water is a determining factor for the correct development of a crop and therefore the best options are sought to cause the least possible impact since irrigation efficiency is not the same in the different types of irrigation used. Drip irrigation is the best option for medium and large areas.
With drip irrigation 95% efficiency is achieved. Water goes directly to the plant, thus reducing the loss of water through evaporation and, moreover, distributes fertilizers much more accurately and safely than with other techniques.
It should be decided which crop you want to plant, since depending on the type of crop a greater or lesser amount of water is required per unit of time. The ideal is to put a crop according to the type of soil we have, that is, if the crop requires a type of clay soil and our soil is clayey, the efficiency generated by the irrigation will be maximum since the behavior of the water in the different types of soil is not the same (sandy / clayey / gravel). In clayey soils, water expands more horizontally than in sandy soils, where water tends to go deeper, so it is also important to take into account the crop’s plantation framework. The more clayey, the greater the planting frame; on the other hand, the more sandy the smaller.
It is very important that you take into account where the installation’s water intake is. The drip irrigation project of the farm will be based on that first starting point and as a result, the pipe distribution design will begin.

Once we have the design of the installation taking into account the different types of crops to be planted and where, we must decide the position of the different programmers according to the number of crops with different water needs, which will be responsible for Open and close the water outlet valve every time the farmer deems necessary. Once all the pipes have been assembled according to their previous design on the farm, the drippers are installed. To do this, with a “punch with ejector” the smooth pipe is drilled at the desired distance from the crop to be planted and the punctured dropper is incorporated.

Depending on the needs of each crop it would be ideal to use one type of dripper or another. The constant flow drippers always provide the same amount of water and are perfect for specimens and adults who are in a controlled climate zone. The adjustable drippers allow adjusting the flow rate and are perfect for changing temperature and humidity conditions and growing plants. Integrated self-compensating drippers have a constant flow, since they are able to compensate for pressure differences caused by unevenness or long pipes (more than 25 m). And, finally, the turbulent integrated drippers maintain a constant flow in smooth fields that do not have slopes.
